January202011
This is the first show of 2011 at the Legendary Castle so treat it nicely.
This is also the return of Set Foot to Victoria since their closing set at Hardcore Fest 2009. This band has always found love in Victoria since playing here in 2006. They released a 7” out on Copperlung Records.

Post-Casiotone thoughts
That Casiotone show went so smoothly. These kids into weird indie rock are really mild mannered and respectful. I don’t think there were ever more than a couple people on our deck, pretty much everyone paid the $10, and there was a really sincere vibe in the house that I haven’t seen since Rocky V. The bands were amazing and so friendly. I really want to thank everyone who came and everyone who helped. Thanks to Giles for making the trip from Vancouver just to play this house show. Thanks to my girlfriend for bringing me a burrito from Hernandez. Thanks to Blake and Lauren A for putting this thing together.
We should totally do more shows of this nature. I couldn’t imagine anything going wrong with the type of people that showed up to this one.
Videos to (slowly) follow!

CFTPA, Reflections, the Future.
Time for a formal post on here. First to annouce that on Casiotone For the Painfully Alone’s Final NA tour they will be making an apperance at the Castle with Otouto (from AUSTRALIA!) and Geordi (Giles of wlwrm/setfoot/persistence of time/fallingdown)It will be fun! come check it out Sept 16th.
Second. It has now been one year + 1 month since we opened our doors to the possibility of providing this kind of space for our community. Lots of great times were had. I would like to say we have had a great adventure this last year. Some things were obviously shitty but it is impossible to avoid such problems entirely in this type of environment. 16 shows, 40 different bands (as of sept 16th 2010) 15, 37 bands right now. Multiple performances from a few bands too! Hopefully some of our ideas will come to fruition! like a Legendary Castle: Year One DVD.
16 shows, 50 Bands.
The Future.
We are taking a hiatus come Sept 17th, 2010. Maybe unofficial or maybe official. We will let you know when the next show will happen after. The break hopefully is understandable. We want to enjoy our home without having to have the worries of what a show does. Next event as well will be a Winter Formal in December to continue our semi-annual dance events.
